Available Positions: 15

Approximate Start Date: April 1, 2025

CARE-SC Confidential Advocacy, Resources and Education Support Center provides prevention education and intervention services to the USC campus. Our mission is two-fold: we work to reduce the incidents of sexual and relationship violence, and we support students who have been impacted by these incidents. As a Graduate Student Assistant Facilitator, you will play a vital role in the success of prevention education by co-facilitating prevention workshops that include such topics as affirmative consent, healthy relationships, and bystander intervention.

You will work within a cohort of other Graduate Student Assistant Facilitators and work closely with the Senior Learning and Development Specialist (SLDS) to identify schedules and assignments. Your primary role is to deliver three mandatory educational sessions (via Zoom) referred to as Prevention Education Modules (PEMs) to USC students. Other duties that may require on-campus presence include the following: participating in outreach events, assisting with event coordination, collecting evaluation data, assisting with registration and follow-up with students.

CARE-SC is looking for graduate students with an interest in gender equity issues, gender-based violence, harm reduction, and cultural inclusion. Being organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with public speaking (mostly virtually and sometimes in person) are key to being successful in this position.

Each member of this team is expected to teach one evening session (5pm-7pm or 6pm – 8pm) per week and one Saturday (usually starting at 9am or 10am for approximately 5 hours) per month.

The position may require on-site presence, which would usually occur at the University Park Campus and occasionally in an office or conference room setting at the Engemann Student Health building.

There will be required remote training that occurs prior to the start of fall 2025 classes.

The first review of applications will be on Monday, March 31, 2025. Applications received after 11:59pm (PST) on that date may not be reviewed.

Please apply with your resume and a cover letter through Handshake to Job #9733838.
