The Sexploration Tent, hosted by USG, GSG, SAGE, SAA, and USC Student Health, drew steady crowds on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 as students gathered to discuss topics surrounding sexual wellness, consent, and healthy relationships. The event aimed to create an open and inclusive environment where students could engage with information and resources that promote respect and communication.
Health educators from USC Counseling and Mental Health, and CARE-SC, joined Sex Positive L.A.-based intimacy coordinator and empowerment coach Erin Tillman , and student wellness peers encouraged students to participate in interactive activities, including a “Sticky Wall of Truth and Wisdom” where attendees shared personal insights on questions about trust, safety, and boundaries.

The initiative underscored the importance of ongoing education about sexual health and interpersonal awareness in a campus setting. Student groups led activities on communication, self-awareness, and navigating relationships. Student Health provided Medical care resources and information on, reproductive health care, counseling support, health screenings, and prevention services.
Comedian and actor, Helen Hong, co-host from NPR’s ‘Wait..Wait..Don’t Tell Me’ brought a comedic angle to the audience’s anonymous question and answer segments and lively raffle prize giveaways.
The goal of the Sexploration Tent was to normalize discussions about sexual health while reinforcing that wellness encompasses both physical and emotional safety. The event forms part of a broader effort by Student Health to foster a campus culture grounded in inclusion, empowerment, and informed decision-making.
‘Sexual wellness goes beyond prevention—it includes understanding one’s boundaries, fostering respect, and celebrating diversity in how people connect.’ Erin Tillman, L.A.-based intimacy coordinator and empowerment coach
Students lined up at the “Ask A Therapist” corner, for any follow-up or private conversation with Sarah Randazzo, LMFT, of USC Student Health’s Counseling and Mental Health Services unit.
The event was part of a larger campus initiative promoting sex positivity, inclusivity, and mental health awareness. Workshops and Q&A sessions with educators and guest speakers throughout the week encouraged students to approach sexuality with mindfulness and self-awareness.
