Students can access physical therapy services from within USC Student Health primary care services, as well as from the USC Physical Therapy clinic operated by the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy, the home of one of the top-ranked doctor of physical therapy programs in the U.S.
Primary Care-based Physical Therapy
For short-term physical therapy assessment and treatment that is based out of USC Student Health primary care services (floors 1 & 2 of the Engemann Student Health Center building), all students may access a limited duration of visits by simply booking an appointment in MySHR. These visits are typically comprised of evaluation, treatment, and 1-2 follow-up appointments. No referral is needed, simply book your appointment.
When is this the appropriate choice?
For patients who have relatively mild symptoms that will likely resolve within 1-3 visits.
Cost Information
This is available to all USC students currently participating in the semester’s Student Health Fee. No insurance is activated or billed for these visits.

When is this the appropriate choice?
For patients who may require long-term, ongoing physical therapy; who are in post-operative recovery; require specialized equipment; or require specialty physical therapy care (pelvic health, neurological recovery, wound care, etc.)
Cost Information
The practice is insurance-based, and accepts USC SHIP/Aetna (for students); and USC EPO/PPO health insurance plans (for employees). Please check with your insurance plan if you do not see your plan listed here.
