Students interested in joining a group should go to MySHR and create a new message, and submit a “Counseling Group Interest Form.”
In this eight to nine week class, you will gain skills that increase your awareness about our habitual ways of coping and living. You will be able to apply strategies that help you engage in more novel behavior and increase your connectivity with others.
*Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps with managing upsetting thought patterns and behaviors. It incorporates practices such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness techniques.
