Staff Physician
Sana Ahmed, MD joined USC Student Health as a per diem physician in the Fall of 2022. Dr. Ahmed is board certified in emergency medicine and a two-time alumna of USC. She graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies and a medical degree from Keck School of Medicine of USC. She is excited to return to USC to serve the Trojan community.
In addition to working at Student Health, Dr. Ahmed currently works at two very busy emergency departments in the area. Her medical interests include serving underserved populations, preventative care, and educating her patients to optimize their health through shared decision making.
Dr. Ahmed loves experiencing new cultures. One of her most memorable experiences in medicine was studying abroad as a medical student in a busy emergency department and trauma center in Tokyo, Japan. She made wonderful new friends, ate amazing food, and even assisted with one brain surgery.
