Staff Dietician
Michelle D. Katz, MS, RD, MPH, CHES is a registered dietitian and certified health education specialist with a certificate in sports nutrition. She earned a master’s of science in nutritional science from California State University Los Angeles, a master’s of science in public health from the University California Los Angeles, and a certification as a health educator from the National Commission for Health Education Counseling. Also, she is a fellow of the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ leadership education in adolescent health training program.
Michelle has been providing medical nutrition therapy to USC’s student population since 2016 and serves on the multidisciplinary eating disorder and body image team, the gender-affirming care team, and the Kaufman School of Dance care team. Before joining USC, Michelle served as the dietitian for various eating disorder, substance use, and mental health recovery centers as well as in acute care and as a health educator at Kaiser Permanente.
She enjoys moving her body in joyful ways – cycling, running, hiking, walking – as it supports her overall well-being.
