Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine & Vice Chair for Culture and Engagement
Lisa Richardson, MD, received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. Dr. Richardson is certified in General Pediatrics from the American Board of Medical Specialties.
She is a board member of the Alcoholism Center for Women (ACW), an incorporated 501(c) organization with a mission to empower women to make new choices for positive futures. She is Co-Vice-President of Angeles 26 Community Service Collective, a non-profit organization serving the Los Angeles community with heartfelt kindness and compassion, nurturing an environment where every individual feels valued and seen. We are dedicated to uplifting and empowering those who have been historically excluded, fostering a deep sense of sisterhood and fellowship, and building a future where love, support, and belonging are at the heart of all we do.
Dr. Richardson is a member of the Society of Adolescent Medicine, American Academy of Pediatrics, Association of Black Women Physicians, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a current board member of the Alcoholism Center for Women (ACW), an incorporated 501(c)3 organization with a mission to provide a safe and supportive sober environment in which women and youth can repair, restore, and reclaim their lives.
She currently is the Vice Chair of Culture and Engagement for the Department of Family Medicine, a position that energizes her as she strives to promote restorative principles to empower and enhance communication and collaboration so that everyone feels a sense of belonging and thrives on both an individual and collective level.
Fun fact: She also has an identical twin, and is a physician too.
