Broderick Leaks, PhD is director of counseling and mental health at USC Student Health and vice chair of college mental health in the Dept of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences at Keck School of Medicine. Leaks earned his PhD in clinical psychology, master’s in theology and master’s is psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. In addition, he earned his master’s in Executive Master of Health Administration at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy.

He joined USC Student Health as a psychology intern in 2008 and subsequently moved into the roles of clinical staff psychologist, assistant director and training director in counseling and mental health before assuming directorship in January 2019.

In 2023, Leaks was voted in as President of the Organization of California Counseling Directors in Higher Education. He will serve as President-Elect for 2023-2024 and President for 2024-2025.

As a psychologist, Leaks specializes in individual and group psychotherapy. Treatment of anxiety and panic disorders; OCD; stress management; ethnic minority identity development (particularly African American); and the integration of psychology and spirituality. He lives with his family in the USC Village and also serves as a faculty in residence for the Bohnett and Nemirovsky Residential Colleges. His pronouns are he, him, his.
