Location: Primarily remote via Zoom with occasional in person outreaches

Term: June 1, 2024-May 31, 2024; with option for renewal

Hours Per Week: 20 hours, arranged during Monday-Friday 9am-5pm mostly with flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends

Wage: $16.04/hour

Description: USC Counseling and Mental Health (CMH) is looking to hire a graduate student worker. CMH provides psychological services to USC students. This includes a wide spectrum of services from prevention to direct therapy services. The graduate assistant will play a vital role in the success of the program by providing administrative support to the outreach projects we offer to the campus community. The program assistant will primarily assist the Assistant Director (AD) of Outreach and Prevention with community engagement and programming.

What are we looking for? We are looking for someone passionate and interested in wellbeing, mental health, and cultural inclusion, as well as someone who enjoys public speaking. Being a team player, organized and detail-oriented person is key to being successful in this position. Able to maintain confidential communications as they pertain to students or other visitors at CMH is also paramount. We also value experience with both quantitative analysis software.

Responsibilites

  • Collaborating with campus partners to schedule outreach services
  • Assist with creating and adding to the innovation of tabling events, social media, and other outlets where CMH tries to promote positive mental health
  • Assist in updating biweekly newsletters to CMH staff and biannual liaison newsletter to be sent to campus partners
  • Responsible for conducting outreach presentations regarding CMH services when necessary
  • Survey data collection and analysis evaluating outreach
  • Weekly meetings with the AD of outreach
