Staff Dietitian
Patrice Barber is a Registered Dietitian with experience and expertise in helping people in all phases of life and states of health develop their own happy, healthy, and peaceful relationship with food.
Following training in nutrition and dietetics at SUNY Buffalo State College, Patrice provided nutrition care in a wide variety of acute care, long term care and public health settings before becoming a Trojan in 2001 with USC Hospitality. Patrice transitioned to USC Student Health in 2009 and has been proudly and happily serving individual students and student groups ever since. Her areas of focus are nutrition support for health challenges, the intersection of nutrition and emotional health, disordered eating, sports nutrition for recreational athletes, the unique nutritional needs of international students, supporting underserved populations and helping to find solutions to food insecurity on campus.
Patrice loves to help students find creative and flexible ways nourish and nurture themselves, and deeply believes that beauty and health knows no bounds and that everyone deserves to enjoy their food.
At home Patrice enjoys adventures in art, the kitchen and the outdoors with her husband and children.
