USC Healthy Minds Study

USC Healthy Minds Study

Undergraduate and graduate students were encouraged to participate in a survey of University of Southern California students to create a picture of student health across all communities.

What is the USC Healthy Minds Study?

On March 19, 2018, a random sample of about 16,000 undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Southern California received an email prompting them to participate in the USC Healthy Minds Study. The survey invitation was sent in partnership with The University of Michigan, on behalf of USC. The survey was tailored specifically to engage students at multiple colleges and universities across the country.

The results from the study provided information on mental health status and support service utilization within the USC undergraduate and graduate student populations. Highlighted results from the study can be found here:

What’s In It For You?

USC and Healthy Minds teamed up to offer 320 prizes in the form of $20 Amazon gift cards. The survey was estimated to take about 20 minutes to complete. Rest assured that all responses were confidential and that all student responses were not individually identifiable.

The survey closed on Monday, April 9, 2018.
