To protect our community as students return to campus, the following testing is required for all students.

  1. Before arrival: USC requires all students who are traveling to Los Angeles for the start of the fall semester to arrange a COVID-19 test (if possible) no more than 3 days prior to leaving their destination. Students currently living in Los Angeles should also test before moving into USC Housing or their off-campus apartment. Results do not have to be uploaded into MySHR. If you test positive, you must isolate, and delay travel to Los Angeles or your move. Consult with your health care provider on when you are cleared to travel.
  2. Upon arrival: Once you arrive in Los Angeles or move into your housing, arrange to test with USC Student Health on day 3 of arrival. All students are currently required to test at once per week until further notice.  Students who are not vaccinated due to an approved medical or religious exemption are subject to additional testing.

Beginning on August 20, Trojan Check (the online symptom monitoring and compliance tool) will activate a weekly student testing requirement in order to access the USC Campuses.

If you are having difficulties scheduling an appointment; please review the Trojan Check and MySHR Troubleshooting Guide for answers to frequently asked questions.
