Violence Prevention Specialist, Relationship and Violence Prevention and Services

Sarah (Hyun Kyoung) Hong, MPH, MIA joined USC Student Health’s Relationship and Violence Prevention and Services as violence prevention specialist in February 2019. Hong, who holds a Master of Public Health and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, views prevention of sexual assault through the lens of larger social and political systems.

The Korea-born Hong is spearheading a new affirmative consent workshop for freshmen, expected in fall 2019. She will also focus on supporting the VOICE peer volunteer outreach program and the USG bystander intervention initiative, Trojans Act Now, in her role at USC Student Health.
