Lara Morgan Oberle, MD is a staff member at Keck Medicine of USC in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, specializing in Primary Care Sports and Exercise Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville graduated summa cum laude and medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine.
Oberle completed her Internal Medicine Residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, after which she was honored to complete a year as Chief Medical Resident.
Oberle continued her education and passion for musculoskeletal issues in athletes by completing a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. During her fellowship, Oberle had the opportunity to care for a local high school, Division I college, as well as professional athletics.
After graduation, Oberle returned to practice at the Cleveland Clinic as a staff physician, where she also worked as a team physician at the collegiate and professional level.
Oberle is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, where she volunteers on the Communications Committee, and also serves as a manuscript editor for the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine. She is currently a team physician for USC athletics.
Oberle is personally avid in all areas of sports and fitness personally, including prior marathons, triathlons, and strength training of several varieties. She enjoys continuing to provide care for those active people who do the same. She has a particular interest and skill set in ultrasound-guided injections and procedures, as well as in the physiology of sports performance.
