This 5-week group is an introduction to Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach to helping people deal better with and recover from depression. Group members will learn to identify and explore factors that contribute to their symptoms and use concrete tools and strategies to improve functioning. The group will help members start to improve self-care, implement simple strategies in their daily life to promote healthy behaviors, and increase awareness of and challenge negative thoughts and behaviors that get in the way of moving forward.
